Arak University of Medical Sciences

Introduction

Arak University of Medical Sciences was established in 1986. Seven faculties including 281 faculty members covers discipline of this university. The students who are admitted to this university can study in over 36 fields of study in the courses of residency, specialized and general doctorate degrees, and master's & bachelor's degrees. This university controls 5 training & treatment centers & 9 hospitals and includes traditional and complementary medicine research center, molecular medicine center, and infectious diseases center.

 

Presidency of the Arak University Medical Sciences

This university is presided by Dr. Seyed Mohammad Jalalian, Forensic Specialist, born in 1978. Arak University of Medical Sciences is administrated by a creative young who follows up the progress in the fields of training, research, health, and treatment. The president of this university supports all international cooperation.

 

Vice-chancellor for Educational AUMS

Dr. Saeid Changizi Ashtiani is working at this university as the professor of physiology who is responsible for supervising all educational processes. This university covers 3 educational camps in city of Arak which includes schools of medicine, dentistry, nursing, public health, rehabilitation, and paramedical & medical basic sciences.

School of Medicine

School of Medicine is situated at Payambar Azam Camp with a healthy climate on western foot slope of mountains of Arak. Every year the hundreds of medical specialists and general practitioners are graduated from this university. This school has facilities including clinical skills center, different laboratories, and experienced faculty member with an excellent level.   

 

School of Dentistry

This school is newly established including necessary facilities and equipment and many general dentists were educated by dentist faculty members at this school.

 

Training and Treatment Centers

This university controls advanced training and treatment services in five hospitals including Amiralmomenin, Valiasr, Ayatollah Khansari, Amirkabir, and Ayatollah Taleghani by providing extensive services in wards of oncology, specialized surgery, all types of medical specialties, obstetrics and gynecology, and other medical services.

Office of International Relations of the University

Dr. Bahram Jalaei, Assistant Professor of Audiology is manager of office of international relations of the university. He controls comprehensive plan of communications of the university with international private and governmental sections.
