The research priorities of the center are as follows:

1. Extraction and identification of the effective ingredient of medicinal plants with emphasis on native plants
2. The role of traditional medicine-based therapies in diagnosing and preventing diseases including digestive problems, endocrine diseases, gynecological diseases, cardiovascular diseases, pediatrics, skin
3. Target therapy based on nano-drugs, related to traditional medicine
4. Investigating the safety and efficacy of traditional and complementary therapies in the form of clinical trials
5. Investigation of relationship between temperament and blood, biochemical, immunological, cardiovascular, respiratory
6. Investigating Hekma's View on Current Common Diseases (etiology and treatment).
7. Formulation of standard pharmaceutical products from traditional medicine based on traditional and new forms of medications
8. The study and presentation of lifestyle from the perspective of traditional Iranian medicine
9. Study of the capacity and effectiveness of complementary medicine in association with the common medicine in the diagnosis, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of cardiovascular, inflammatory, cancerous, metabolic, infectious, asthmatic and allergic diseases
10. Identifying and introducing the characters of Iranian medicine and their works.
