National Consumer Price Index by Expenditure Deciles in the Month of Khordad of the year 1401
The national inflation rate for the month of Khordad of the year 1401 stood at 39.4 percent, fluctuating between 38.3 percent for the ninth and tenth deciles (those with the highest income) and 42.7 percent for the first decile (those with the lowest income) among the expenditure deciles. The range of the twelve-month inflation changes in the major group of “food, beverages and tobacco” was between 51.1 percent for the third and fourth deciles and 52.3 percent for the ninth decile. The major group of “non-food items and services” also saw these fluctuations ranging from 31.5 percent for the sixth decile to 34.8 percent for the tenth decile[3].
