Obstetrics  and  gynecology  or  obstetrics  and  gynecology  is  the  medical  specialty  that  encompasses

the  two  subspecialties  of  obstetrics  ( covering  pregnancy ,  childbirth ,  and  the  postpartum period )

and  gynecology  (covering  the  health  of  the  female  reproductive  system  –  vagina ,  uterus , ovaries,

and  breasts ).
