Biophysics and Medical Physics Laboratory

The Biophysics and Medical Physics Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine is equipped with numerous educational facilities to conduct practical physics courses.
Expert: Mr. Yadoleh Fathi (Master's degree in Physics)
The fields that have a practical course in physics or medical physics, as well as the experiments that are intended and performed for them, are as follows:
1- Laboratory Sciences (practical course in applied physics)
Experiments: Electricity, light and explanation of the principles of maintaining and using medical diagnostic devices
2- Occupational Health (practical course in Physics I)
Experiments: Measurement (length and density), mechanics (laws of motion and their equations) and oscillatory systems
3- Occupational Health (practical course in Physics II)
Experiments: Waves, sound and light
4- Medical field (practical course in medical physics)
Experiments on light, optometric devices and types of rays (measurement of rays and calculation of the absorption coefficient of materials)
5- Dentistry (practical course in medical physics)
Experiments on light, optometric devices and types of rays (measurement of rays and calculation of the absorption coefficient of materials) Materials)
The equipment and test sets available in the laboratory are:
A- Experiments:
Microwave waves - tuning forks and resonance - longitudinal and transverse mechanical waves - magnetism and electricity (magnets, coils, resistors and capacitors) spectroscopy - focal length of lenses and mirrors - optical instruments (laws of light and refractive index) - diffraction and interference of light - polarimetry - cathode rays - radioactive - closed sound tubes - interference of waves through an oscilloscope - Kenneth tube - projectile motion - friction - laws of motion - Hooke's law - free fall - pendulum - length measuring devices (coulisse, Rannerometer and spherometer) - X-rays - vision measuring devices (acuity chart, ophthalmoscope, tinoscope, spectacle box and lens meter)
B- Medical diagnostic devices:
These devices are often used and discarded and are only used to teach laboratory science students the principles of their work and internal parts. They include: meter - centrifuge - microscope - incubator - bain-marie - four-shaker - spectrophotometer - film photometer - magnetic stirrer
