Historical Background and Context

Markazi Province, located in the heart of the Iranian plateau, has historically been one of the country’s prominent regions in cultural, industrial, and scientific development. Arak, the capital city of Markazi Province, is recognized as one of Iran’s modern planned cities. Over recent decades, it has evolved into a major hub for scientific, industrial, and healthcare activities. The establishment of Arak University of Medical Sciences and the subsequent development of its affiliated schools represent a strategic response to regional and national demands for education and research in health sciences.

History and Institutional Status

The Shazand School of Nursing, as the first academic institution of medical sciences in Shazand County, was officially established in 2010 following authorization by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The School commenced its activities in alignment with the national 20-year vision for the healthcare system, aiming to educate competent, committed, and professionally skilled nursing personnel.

Currently, in addition to admitting undergraduate students through the national entrance examination, the School hosts international students at the Master’s and PhD levels in various nursing specializations. The presence of students from diverse countries has transformed the Shazand School of Nursing into a dynamic, multicultural academic environment aligned with global trends in nursing education.

Benefiting from experienced faculty members, appropriate educational and research infrastructure, and strong collaboration with teaching hospitals and clinical centers, the School is firmly committed to admitting, supporting, and empowering international students from around the world. Internationalization of nursing education constitutes one of the core pillars of the School’s strategic development.

International Educational and Research Approach

Graduate programs at the Shazand School of Nursing, particularly at the Master’s and Doctoral levels, are designed based on a scientific, research-oriented, and evidence-based approach. These programs aim to prepare future researchers, academic faculty members, and highly qualified professionals capable of contributing effectively to national and international healthcare systems.

The expansion of English-taught programs, the application of simulation-based education, and the enhancement of professional and research competencies are among the key educational priorities of the School in its pursuit of excellence in international nursing education.

الخلفیة التاریخیة والسیاق العام

تُعد محافظة مرکزی، الواقعة فی قلب الهضبة الإیرانیة، من المناطق البارزة فی إیران من حیث التطور الثقافی والصناعی والعلمی عبر التاریخ. وبفضل موقعها الجغرافی الاستراتیجی، لعبت المحافظة دورًا مهمًا فی الربط بین مختلف مناطق البلاد، کما وفّرت بیئة مناسبة لتطور التعلیم العالی والنظام الصحی.

وتُعد مدینة أراک، عاصمة محافظة مرکزی، واحدة من المدن الإیرانیة الحدیثة المخططة، وقد تحولت خلال العقود الأخیرة إلى مرکز مهم للأنشطة العلمیة والصناعیة والصحیة. ویُعد تأسیس جامعة أراک للعلوم الطبیة وتطویر کلیاتها التابعة استجابة استراتیجیة للاحتیاجات الإقلیمیة والوطنیة فی مجال تعلیم وبحوث العلوم الصحیة.

تاریخ الکلیة ومکانتها الأکادیمیة

تأسست کلیة التمریض شازند، بصفتها أول مؤسسة أکادیمیة للعلوم الطبیة فی قضاء شازند، رسمیًا عام 2010 بموجب ترخیص من وزارة الصحة والعلاج والتعلیم الطبی فی جمهوریة إیران الإسلامیة. وبدأت الکلیة نشاطها فی إطار الرؤیة الوطنیة العشرینیة للنظام الصحی، بهدف إعداد کوادر تمریضیة مؤهلة، ملتزمة، وذات کفاءة مهنیة عالیة.

وحالیًا، إلى جانب قبول الطلبة فی مرحلة البکالوریوس عبر الامتحان الوطنی، تستضیف الکلیة طلبة دولیین فی مرحلتی الماجستیر والدکتوراه فی تخصصات مختلفة من التمریض. وقد أسهم تنوع الجنسیات فی خلق بیئة أکادیمیة متعددة الثقافات، تتماشى مع الاتجاهات العالمیة الحدیثة فی تعلیم التمریض.

وبالاعتماد على کادر أکادیمی ذی خبرة، وبنیة تحتیة تعلیمیة وبحثیة مناسبة، وتعاون فعّال مع المستشفیات التعلیمیة والمراکز السریریة، تلتزم الکلیة باستقطاب ودعم ورعایة الطلبة الدولیین من مختلف أنحاء العالم، وتُعد دولیة التعلیم أحد المحاور الاستراتیجیة الأساسیة لتطویرها المؤسسی.

النهج التعلیمی والبحثی الدولی

تم تصمیم برامج الدراسات العلیا فی کلیة التمریض شازند، ولا سیما فی مرحلتی الماجستیر والدکتوراه، وفق نهج علمی وبحثی قائم على الأدلة، وتهدف إلى إعداد باحثین، وأعضاء هیئة تدریس مستقبلیین، ومختصین قادرین على الإسهام بفاعلیة فی الأنظمة الصحیة على المستویین الوطنی والدولی.

ویُعد تطویر البرامج الدراسیة باللغة الإنجلیزیة، واعتماد التعلیم القائم على المحاکاة، وتعزیز المهارات المهنیة والبحثیة من أبرز الأولویات التعلیمیة للکلیة فی مسیرتها نحو التمیز فی تعلیم التمریض الدولی.
