Introduction to Faculty of Health

The School of Public Health was established in 2010 (1389 in the Iranian calendar) by separating the associate degree programs in Disease Control, Family Health, Environmental Health, and Occupational Health from the School of Paramedical Sciences, and it began its independent activities. Starting from the second semester of the 2010–2011 academic year, the associate degree programs in Disease Control and Family Health were merged into the continuous Bachelor's program in Public Health. At the same time, during that same semester, the Master's program in Health Education and Health Promotion, the non-continuous Bachelor's program in Public Health, and the continuous Bachelor's program in Occupational Health were also added to the academic offerings of the school.

Currently, the School of Public Health admits students in the following programs:

  • Bachelor’s in Public Health
  • Bachelor’s in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering (both continuous and non-continuous)
  • Bachelor’s in Nutritional Sciences
  • Bachelor’s in Environmental Health Engineering
  • Master’s in Health Education and Health Promotion
  • Master’s in Environmental Health Engineering
  • Master’s in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
  • Master's and Doctoral programs in Nutrition  (For international students)

The academic staff of the school are active in various fields including Environmental Health, Occupational Health and Safety Engineering, Nutrition Sciences, Biostatistics and Epidemiology, Health Services Management, and Health Education and Promotion. They are engaged in educating students and conducting educational, research, and administrative activities.

Currently, the School of Public Health has 24 faculty members in the fields of Environmental Health Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety Engineering, Nutrition, Epidemiology, Health Services Management, and Health Education and Promotion.
